"Birds On Colorado" Monuments
Created by renowned artist Geoffrey C. Smith, the Birds on Colorado monuments are a collection of 6 stunning bronze sculptures that represent some of the fascinating birds that call our region home. Examples include the Three Heron Fountain (687 S Colorado Ave), Osprey Pair (315 S Colorado Ave), and Dancing Sandhill Crane (745 S Colorado Ave).

All Saints Episcopal Church
All Saints' Episcopal Church was erected in 1898 and is a prime example of the frame, rural Carpenter Gothic style found mostly in the southern United States during the 19th Century.
Avian Muse Mobile
This colorful mobile sculpture installation can be found within the Morgade Library in Stuart and features an abstract depiction inspired by the various bird species that are found throughout Martin County.
Benches And Bike Rack
The concrete benches along 707 Highway in the Rio neighborhood of Jensen Beach have been adorned with ceramic tile pieces designed by local students. Meanwhile, the metal bike racks were hand forged from additional student inspirations.
Bronze Gate
This decorative bronze gate is located at the entrance of the iconic House of Refuge (the oldest structure in Martin County) near the road just north of the house.
Capt. Henry Sewall House
Captain Henry Sewall moved to Florida in 1889 and built his home at the tip of the peninsula that became Sewall's Point. When the local pioneer and developer became the first postmaster in 1891, he established the Sewall's Point Post Office in his home. Captain Sewall and his wife Abbie lived in the framed vernacular house until 1910 and in 2006, the house was moved by barge to Indian RiverSide Park.

Catch The Wave Of Hope Mural
Created by award-winning artist Lynne Barletta along with local students and Martin County residents, the Catch the Wave of Hope mural is a magnificent work of art that has galvanized an entire community into working for a common cause: raising awareness of human sex trafficking and generating money needed to build a safe home for the girls and women who are rescued from it. The 250-foot by 25-foot mural was painted on the AT&T building at 316 S.E. Akron Ave. in Downtown Stuart. Fish House Art Center
The Fish House Art Center and Gallery is located on the waterfront of Manatee Pocket in the Village of Port Salerno, Florida, just five miles south of downtown Stuart. The Fish House Gallery is two stories with 3,000 square feet of American Fine Art and Fine Crafts.
Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center (Art Trail)
The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center is a 57-acre parcel houses the Society’s headquarters, nature trails, 750,000-gallon Game Fish Lagoon, Sea Turtle Pavilion, Children’s Activity Pavilion, Sea Star Touch Tank Pavilion, Rays on the Reef Ray Pavilion, and the Frances Langford Visitors Center.

Garden Quilt
Part of the overarching Hobe Sound Murals Project, the Garden Quilt mural was started in February 2015 and has had more than 60 local and regional artists contribute to the overall work. Located at Taste Casual Dining, the ever-expanding work features a patchwork of scenes that represents the different styles and techniques of each collaborators. Georges Valentine Shipwreck
Dive to see the wreck of the Georges Saint Valentine, Martin County’s only underwater archaeological preserve and an underwater site on the National Register of historic places. Georges Valentine is a pleasure to dive or snorkel because she rests in shallow water, only 100 yards offshore. Visitors can park at the House of Refuge and walk to the entry point, a rocky outcropping l00 yards south. Contact the House of Refuge for more information.

Golden Gate Building
The Golden Gate Building was built in 1925 and is one of Martin County's most distinctive historical structures. The two-story trapezoidal building was designed in the Mission Mediterranean Revival style. The building originally served as the office for the Golden Gate Development Co. In 1926, the post office for Port Sewall moved in and when Port Sewall incorporated in 1927, the building became the town hall. Following the dissolution of the Golden Gate Development Company in 1940, the building was sold to the Church of God at Port Sewall. In 1952, it became the residence of renowned artist James Hutchinson and his family. Martin County leased the building to House of Hope Inc., who managed the interior finishing. The building was transformed into the Golden Gate Center for Enrichment. The Golden Gate Building was listed on the Martin County Register of Historic Places in 2006 and the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

Hobe Sound Beach Installation
Martin County's coast plays an important role during the sea turtle nesting season, and this installation pays tribute by depicting a loggerhead turtle and her hatchlings in ceramic accompanied by a painted mural background.
Hobe Sound Murals Project
The goal of the Hobe Sound Murals Project is to beautify specific locations, enhance civic pride, encourage positive networking and plant seeds for future cultural accomplishments.  Since 2009, this ‘paint-the-town’ initiative, spearheaded by professional artist Nadia Utto, has provided opportunities to spend some time ‘on-the-wall’ contributing a personal touch to the local ambiance, for over 40 skilled regional artisans and hobbyists, along with approximately 100 individual residents and visitors. House Of Refuge Museum At Gilbert's Bar
Step back in time to the turn of the century with a visit to the House of Refuge Museum at Gilbert’s Bar. Built as one of ten along the east coast of Florida, it is the oldest structure in Martin County and is the only remaining House of Refuge.

A collection of working studios. Brightly colored tin-roofed homes that have been converted into artists’ studios.
Log Cabin At Langford Park
Construction of the Historic Log Cabin began in 1935 as one of President Roosevelt's New Deal Works Progress Administration (WPA) Projects. The first recreational activity was a dance in November, 1936. Community and school events, card games and meetings were often held at the log cabin. However, in 1971, $1,000 was paid for the disassembled Log Cabin in order that it might be preserved. After about eight years, with assistance from Vince Bocchino and a crew of workers, the structure was meticulously reassembled in Langford Park in Jensen Beach and was completed by November, 1981. The Log Cabin was listed on the Martin County Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Lyric Theatre
Built in the 1920s as a silent movie house, the Lyric Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This grand old theatre represents a colorful history in the community as a central gathering place for young and old alike. The Lyric Theatre seats 500 and features whisper-perfect acoustics. It is host to a variety of events, ranging from classical theatre to rock and country bands, orchestra and jazz concerts, dance recitals, and school programs, as well as movies.

Manatee Gateway
Sue Lampert brought her artistic touch to downtown Port Salerno with this unique streetscape. The metal railing features swimming manatees along the Manatee Pocket Bridge.

Mosaic Trees
This beautiful public art installation by Brenda Leigh adorns the public facilities at Memorial Park in Downtown Stuart. The 3D glass tile mosaic mural depicts a tremendous oak tree, with its moss-clung branches stretching around the entire building. It add an dash of Old Florida charm to this beloved park and creates a true sense of place. The park serves as a memorial, honoring our country's veterans, and boasts sprawling green space, peaceful gazebo, and bandshell that hosts some of the largest annual events in Stuart.

Mount Elizabeth Archeological Site
Mount Elizabeth was constructed circa 2000-2499 BC during the Late Archaic Period by Florida Indians who selected the site for a ceremonial shell midden. It was occupied by ancient peoples who first subsisted by hunting large land animals, and then later on a diet of smaller animals and shellfish. Mount Elizabeth is the highest mound in South Florida, presently at 40 ft. above sea level.

New Monrovia One-Room Schoolhouse
The New Monrovia One-Room Schoolhouse was built circa 1930 and was one of the first schools constructed in Martin County to educate African-American children. Its former students fondly remember it as “Mrs. Williams School.” Costella Williams, the distinguished educator and teacher most associated with the One-Room Schoolhouse, taught there until around 1960. It is believed to be the only surviving one-room schoolhouse on the Treasure Coast. The schoolhouse was listed on the Martin County Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Seminole Inn

Overlooking the main entrance of the Hobe Sound Public Library is the public art piece Shell Game by Charlotte Lees, featuring turtle shells carved in wood along with man's early symbols.
Southeast Of Disorder Sculpture
This one-of-a-kind bronze conceptual sculpture incorporates wood elements and can be found within the fascinating Elliott Museum on Hutchinson Island.
Stained Glass Windows
The Elisabeth Lahti Library is an important community hub for Indiantown residents. The literary world has been brought to life through a series of stunning stained glass windows (installed in 2013) that portray people reading, colorful stacks of books, and scenes depicting the surrounding rustic landscapes.
Strike Force Sculpture
Created by artist Terry Thommes, this bronze sculpture of a coiled antique firehose is right at home in front of Fire House #30 in Stuart.
Stuart Beach Ceramic Relief Installation
The beautiful mosaic mural found on the bath house at Stuart Beach has been completed by Stuart artist Brenda Leigh with the help of local high school students. This design blends artistic expression with education and advocacy to bring attention to our local reef and shoreline here in Martin County.
Stuart Heritage Museum
The Stuart Heritage Museum is located in the oldest commercial building in Stuart and Martin County. Step back in time to learn about the unusual, the forgotten, and some of the fascinating people, events, and places from Martin County’s history. The purpose of Stuart Heritage is to help preserve the culture, artifacts, and history of Stuart and its surrounding communities. The countless relics housed by the museum define the history of the people, businesses, agriculture and community spirit of the City of Stuart and Martin County. Admission to the museum is always free (although donations are accepted)

A collection of vibrant murals can be found sprinkled throughout Historic Downtown Stuart. A total of 18 works can be witnessed adorning the walls of restaurants, corridors, and building exteriors as part of this ongoing beautification process. Stuart Welcome Arch
The Stuart Welcome Arch was built in 1926 by the Stuart Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the creation of Martin County, with Stuart as the county seat. The gateway was designed to welcome the many motorists coming to winter in Florida as they entered the City of Stuart. “Atlantic Gateway to the Gulf of Mexico” was placed on the crossbeam because it was anticipated that Stuart would become a prosperous shipping port upon completion of the intra-state canal. In 2004, the Stuart Welcome Arch was officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is thought to be the only gateway of its kind spanning over a highway in Florida. In 2006, it was listed on the Martin County Register of Historic Places.

The Jensen Beach Christian Church
Jensen Beach Christian Church was built between 1910 and 1912 in the Gothic Revival style. Its pulpit and pews, which are still in use, were donated by Henry Morrison Flagler, the developer of the East Coast Railway whose main line still runs through Jensen Beach. In 2010, the historic church was added to the Martin County Register of Historic Places.

The Olympia School (Apollo)
The Olympia School (now called the Apollo School) was built in 1924 as the town hall for the Olympia Development Company. The building was used from 1925 until 1963 as a schoolhouse. In 2000, the Apollo School Foundation purchased the building to rehabilitate it and open it for use as a historical museum and cultural arts and educational facility. In 2002, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the only building in Hobe Sound to be so named. In 2015, it was listed on the Martin County Register of Historic Places.

The Palm Room
This 3,300-square-foot gallery is located within the Harbour Bay Plaza of Sewall's Point. It is overseen by the Martin Artisans Guild and features an ever-rotating collection of original fine art pieces. Each month’s Opening Reception takes place on the first Wednesday of the month from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
The Poet Sculpture
Appropriately placed outside the Hoke Library in Jensen Beach, this large bronze torso bust features a man writing within the page of an open book.
The Stuart Sailfish
In 2003 the 19-foot tall Stuart Sailfish was installed in historic Downtown Stuart, Florida. Created by artist Geoffrey C. Smith, it was donated to the City of Stuart and the beautiful bronze water fountain statue has become an icon of the Sailfish Capital of the World. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the monument at the roundabout of SW Joan Jefferson Way in Stuart.

Trapper Nelson's Interpretive Site
The Trapper Nelson Zoo Historic District encompasses an approximately 2.5 acre section of the 875.5 acre Trapper Nelson Interpretive Site, which is a part of Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The historic district is found in the southern part of the state park and contains the principal buildings and other resources that made up the "zoo and museum" owned and operated by Vince "Trapper" Nelson, opened in 1933.

In 1936, Atlanta businessman Willaford Leach and his wife Anne Bates Leach, a Coca Cola heiress, purchased Mt. Elizabeth and the surrounding property and built the Mediterranean Revival-style home that exists today. Set against a backdrop of beautiful sunsets and tropical palm trees, The Mansion at Tuckahoe balances southern elegance with old Florida charm. Located inside Indian RiverSide Park, it offers breathtaking waterfront views overlooking the Indian River Lagoon, and is one of the most historically significant sites in Florida.
